The Heat Is On

So basically, my computer crashed due to a "Thermal Event" and hopefully will be back within the next week or two. Until then, updates will be sporadic. I will have pictures of The Rapture, Lotus, and The Roots to upload and reviews.

Save The Hoodie!

In England, several stores and public areas are banning hoodies, due to something along the lines of theft problems and they think banning hoodies will lessen theft/crime rates. Is this just? Is this a class statement being made? You be the judge. Check out Lady Sovereign's page dedicated to saving the hoodie; Sign the petition and learn some hoodie history - http://www.savethehoodie.com.

Also, the SOV will be in Montreal on December 2nd at Sala Rossa.

Ween

So I saw Ween last night at Higher Ground. Although I am a huge Ween fan on album, I decided that I am not so much a fan of their live show. They sounded good at what they were doing, but it just wasn't doing it for me. I wanted to dance and I just found it hard to rock out, although hardcore Ween fans would call me crazy. I don't really know what they played other than Bananas and Blow, Voodoo Lady, and The Blarney Stone. Here are the pics (wow I suck at show reviews.):

Odelay!

So, finally I saw Beck last week at The Bell Centre in Montreal, QC. I recommend any Beck fan see this man next time he tours. He played everything I wanted to hear except for New Pollution and Deadweight. It was very wired to see Beck in person, especially since his music has been involved in my life since Loser came out when I was in elementary school. He had a very tight band and crazy-ass tambourine player. I didn't get to take too many pictures and unfortunately I missed Islands, who I heard was amazing.

New Music!

Princess Superstar - My Machine

This album is fucking awesome. Really catchy. If you don't know the Princess, hmm .. think a bit Peaches, a bit Lil Kim, and just raunchy hip hop electro rock. My favorite song currently is the Quit Smoking Song.

You Say Die! We Say Party!
- Hit The Floor!

If Le Tigre met the Rapture and made an album it could sound something like this. Think of females chanting and screaming over hot "Dancerock" beats. I love it. They are currently touring across Canada.
